Photographing your newborn is not only my passion, it is my privilege!
As a portrait photographer and more importantly, as a parent myself, I know and understand how precious your little bundle is to you and I will handle them with absolute care and respect. From holding and posing, to dressing and lighting them, your new addition will be absolutely safe in my hands and their well-being is absolutely paramount.
With sessions available from five days of age, you will very much still be finding your feet in your new routine; probably a little bleary-eyed, a tad uncomfortable and with a wave of emotions.. I want to reassure you that these facts are not only respected, they’re welcomed and we will work together to get you comfortable, resting and refreshed while you watch the photo shoot. If you want to step in for a cuddle and a feed, you absolutely can, you are the chief! Your little one may be tired, hungry, filling their nappy every two minutes or a bit grumpy and I would be amazed if they weren’t! So you honestly have nothing to feel apprehensive about, in coming to your session; there is no issue we can’t work through and my only goal is to make the experience stress-free for you and super sleep-friendly for your baby.
I provide studio session in a beautiful, large studio in West Kent, with parking and hot drinks provided. Equally, if you would rather not have to worry about coming out in the cold or warm weather, or trying to get yourself up and dressed for possibly the first time since coming home, I will bring the studio to you and hold the photo shoot in the comfort of your own home! Want to sit comfortably in your pjs, snack, drink hot chocolate, while watching it all unfold? It's no issue for me! While little one is the star of the show, you are a key part of the experience and are still recovering, after all.
You can expect for me to be with you for up to 2-3 hours, as I won’t be rushing your newborn. I will work entirely at their pace, to provide you with timeless and spectacular images that you will cherish for a lifetime. Every session I undertake is bespoke; I don’t regurgitate the same poses for every client I see because I recognise that you and your baby are individuals, so your photos should be too!
Backdrops, lighting, outfits, props.. I will provide it all, so you don't need to worry about a thing!

The studio environment will need to be lovely and warm for your baby, so I encourage you to wear layers! If we are shooting in your home, I would advise you to turn up the heating so that baby stays warm and cosy, throughout the session.
You are welcome to relax with a book or your laptop, if you want to get on with some baby announcements you haven’t got round to yet. If there are any personal items you would like to include, such as a special outfit or a teddy from a grandparent, I will work these into your shoot for you; I always remember that it is your studio session!

I hold an enhanced level DBS, safeguarding and emergency first-aid qualifications and I have been working with children and disabled people my whole career, as well as having the privileged experience of having an incredible, disabled child of my own.
