A Moment That Matters Photography is led by a portrait photographer specialising in candid, organic and magical images. With years of experience in the industry, she uses her unique skills to capture the true essence and emotions of her subjects. Our photographer has had a passion for photography since the first time she picked up a camera; her love for art, tones, textures, composition and an adoration for everything rustic, means that her style is unique and definitely not a carbon-copy, when it comes to baby photography. When her first child was born, who battled serious and complex health conditions due to a rare disability, she of course sought out the services of a newborn photographer to capture these most precious images of her little girl. A £100 photoshoot sounded like a brilliant option... however after the shoot, came the prices for images from that shoot and £500 later, she had five images and a gaping hole in her bank account, always wondering about the images she lost out on. Ouch. 

At this time, she realised that she could hone her existing photography skills to newborn photography and provide this incredible service to other people, at far more reasonable cost including all the images that were gallery worthy. So she spent a two years learning everything newborn-photo-shoot related and then, A Moment That Matters Photography was born. 

Starting out doing baby photo shoots just for family and friends, while working full-time and raising her daughter, she was soon being referred friends of friends and colleagues of friends and word of mouth grew so much, that advertising was never even needed. There was always someone else who wanted her to undertake a shoot for them on evenings and weekends. It was never a 'job', it has always been a passion, so much so, that when editing time was calculated, she was actually only charging enough to earn nearly £5ph!

Fast forward through another baby and significant career progression, becoming disabled herself, our photographer then bravely decided that life is too short to be in the rat race and simply to focus on being present for her children; a constant support to her daughter's needs and to feel nothing but passion for her work, so she decided to launch A Moment That Matters Photography on to Social Media and the internet and make it a full-time job, to continue supporting her children and while also voluntarily running a Disability Charity she founded. She is very passionate about photographing children with long-term health conditions and disabilities, in and out of hospital, because everyone deserves to have beautiful photographic memories captured, whatever they're going through.

Our photographer knows from personal experience how precious life is and that the immeasurable gift of becoming a parent, is entirely incomparable. Life can be unpredictable and you never know what is around the corner, so it is her sole goal to bring you the most important photographs you'll ever purchase, at the best value; quality and at the most reasonable cost, for real people with real issues and real budgets.
